Brent and Maya have been with us for two weeks. We sat down and interviewed them during lunch. They were nice to let us do it! There were smiles and laughs the whole time.
Here is Brent's interview:
Why did you decide to be a performer?
I like juggling, and I had a job I was not happy with, and I
found a way to turn my hobby into my job.
What is your favorite part of your job?
Maya.
How long have you been performing?
I started performing by my self in 2005, and I have been
with Maya for 5 years.
Why did you decide to come to VUES?
Mrs. Pettibon invited us.
What size ice cream cone do you normally get?
Medium.
Did you go to school to learn how to perform?
Yes. (I learned to perform) in college and at the Celebration Barn Theater in Maine.
What is the hardest part of your job?
When you get sick and tired.
Where was the coolest place you have visited because of your job?
China was pretty cool.
Please tell us a little more about performing.
It is always different, and you have to be in the present
moment all the time.

Why did you decide to be a performer?
I was in my first play in kindergarten, I really liked it and kept going.
What was the best part of your job?
Seeing the students' good ideas.
How long have you been performing?
25 years in all, and 5 years with Brent

Small
Did you go to school to learn how to perform?
Yes, (I learned to perform) at college and at Celebration Barn Theater in Maine.
What is the hardest part of your job
When you are sick and tired.
What is the coolest place you have visited because of your job?
Scotland.

It is not easy, you get nervous, you make mistakes, but you learn from them.
