Veterans' Day 2015

On Wednesday, VUES observed the Veterans' Day with a school assembly. We sang the National Anthem, and we watched our Student Council walk local veterans into the gym. Students from VUHS History Club gave speeches, recited poetry, sang and played music.

Volunteers at VUES

Martha Sanborn

We have a volunteer at the library who puts books away.  Her name is Martha Sanborn. She has been volunteering for four years! She wanted to volunteer in the library because she wanted to help Ms. Foley, and Ms. Foley is nice to her. She loves books. She also came here because she has two daughters in this school.

Joaninha

We have a volunteer in the kitchen named Joaninha. She volunteers here because she loves the children, and she likes to be helpful. She has been volunteering in the kitchen for two years. She washes the dishes, prepares food, and serves food. She likes the people she works with in kitchen, and also she likes the teachers. Her favorite food is butternut soup.
